8/26/2023 0 Comments Planting SeasonEvery season is not planting season. Certain crops grow at different seasons of the year. Some need more water than others. Some can handle the harshest sunshine. Others have sensitivity toward how much sunlight they receive. In the same way, our lives have planting seasons. What are planting seasons? Seasons when we are most susceptible to an idea, even those previously rejected. For example, when someone receives JESUS as their personal Lord and Savior, and a temptation to sin comes, the person with their new zeal as a believer, says no. The enemy decides to orchestrate a planting season in their lives by causing a scarcity that increases the desperation of their need. Then, when the person is at their lowest, desperate, and in need, satan presents the opportunity to sin again. That is their planting season. Planting seasons are not important because of the idea itself, it is important because the seed is planted in obscurity like a seed shoved deep into the dirt soil. The proof that something was planted becomes evident when it starts bearing fruit that does not look like what it should be, We do not see when the wrong seed was planted. But we know tares when we see them. One's divine purpose isn't sabotaged during a regular season, but during planting seasons. When your life hits a vulnerable point, that is the point to be extra vigilant, extra prayerful, and extra careful because it may not be a GOD-planned planting season. It could be the enemy at work. The Bible says, "Watch and pray." In that order. Not pray and watch. You shine your eyes first, recognize tares before they enter your soil, the soil of your heart, and root them out. Then plant faith in GOD even if you don't see the evidence yet. GOD is a long term GOD. Most of us have this popcorn, two minute, use-it-now-or-lose-it-forever mindset toward GOD. We think we need what we need when we are pressed. How about we see it from GOD’s perspective? First, GOD created us. Second, GOD planted us. Third, GOD sent us to this world for a purpose. So, we are planted by GOD in time to accomplish a certain purpose. We must keep planting what GOD says about us in front of us and ward off the enemy's tares. That way, each planting season is occupied by seeds of the WORD planted during adversity and reaped during seasons of plenty. Seasons of global uncertainty is planting season. It is a time to intentionally think about what we are saying, thinking and dwelling on to make sure that when the world says that there is a casting down, we can say, as in Scripture, that there is a lifting up. Because while the world absorbs the enemy's tares as seed, we imbibed faith in the WORD of GOD as our seed. Keep planting faith in GOD. Reaping season is right ahead!
